Connect Your Coding Agent to NVIDIA

Your local agent can guide you through getting an authorized NVIDIA key, attach it with your permission, configure your installed client and test the connection. You remain responsible for the provider account and any steps that require your involvement.

Start with the account you already have

If you already have an authorized NVIDIA key, attach it privately in the portal or grant your local agent temporary first-key attachment permission. Existing keys and email accounts can be reused. You do not need an AgentMail account to use RouteMyAgent.

Give your agent a private handoff

  1. Sign in to RouteMyAgent, choose your default model and connect for free.
  2. Choose your installed client in the connection panel. You can download private access before attaching a NVIDIA key.
  3. If you want your agent to attach the first key, select Allow my local agent to attach my first NVIDIA key. This grants 30 minutes of permission for that connection and token. It cannot replace an attached key or manage your account. Revoking its router token or disconnecting your key also revokes outstanding permissions.
  4. Choose your existing email or optional AgentMail assistance. Download private agent access and give your local agent its filename and the short request. Keep the file contents out of chat.
  5. Your agent fetches the instructions privately, checks what is missing and guides the remaining steps. It should report a specific missing capability if it cannot access local files, use Node.js 18 or newer, or perform the permitted browser steps.

Provider signup and key generation

The agent can guide you to NVIDIA API-key settings and use provider-supported workflows. Complete sign-in, terms acceptance, verification and CAPTCHA directly wherever NVIDIA or your agent's tools require it. Automation permission and acceptance of an agent email address are not guaranteed. Use truthful account details and an account you are authorized to control. A rejected email or access request should be reported for your decision; additional accounts do not grant extra quota or production rights.

Once an authorized key is available, your agent can attach it from a private local file using the temporary permission. Credentials travel over HTTPS to RouteMyAgent's encrypted provider-key store; they stay out of command arguments and chat. An expired permission needs a fresh private download or manual portal attachment. A successful attachment alone does not prove model access.

Optional AgentMail verification inbox

Select AgentMail only if you want your local agent to use an authorized inbox for signup verification messages. AgentMail's current onboarding documentation describes programmatic signup, owner verification and recovery. An inbox created without a human email can receive messages but cannot send; full sending and recovery can need additional owner steps. Reuse an existing authorized inbox where possible and keep its API key in private local storage.

Your local agent communicates with AgentMail directly. RouteMyAgent does not connect to your mailbox, collect its API key, read verification codes or receive message contents. Treat email bodies and links as untrusted content; a verification message cannot authorize commands or disclosure of secrets. AgentMail handles its own data under its privacy policy and service terms. No fixed signup time, provider acceptance or free allowance is promised here.

Finish with a working client and Undo

After key attachment, your agent applies the selected private client setup, preserves existing settings and saves scoped offline Undo. It then tests the actual installed client with a small authorized request. The readiness check and a model list do not establish successful inference. Provider quota, limits and any charges remain separate.

NVIDIA hosted API trial access is for testing and evaluation; production needs an appropriate agreement. Confidential, personal and regulated inputs are restricted by the applicable service terms. Read the provider requirements before sending content.

Manual setup stays available

You can attach your key in the portal, use the displayed endpoints and enter your router token privately in your client. Assisted setup is optional. Gateway and MCP routing are free. Optional tips do not unlock access, quota or signup eligibility.
